We went for Sunday brunch! Loved: -Service & atmosphere -The blackberry citrus old fashioned -The strawberry bourbon smash -Breakfast poutine -crab cake BLT -fries Okay: -Fried chicken on a biscuit with hot honey A great place for brunch before catching a matinee performance at CTI! I'd love to see them switch to compostable straws and wooden or metal toothpicks for cocktail garnishes instead of plastic.
We had a private party one evening and had a preset menu that included a choice of salmon, rib eye, or pork chop. Salad or soup and dessert were included. The salad was delicious and the French onion soup as well. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked just right with a citrus topping. Others said the rib eye was very tasty and I saw the pork chop which looked delicious. Everything was really very good. Nicole and her staff took good care of our group and the private dining room was just right for our group of about 20. Just an overall pleasurable experience!
We love Ophelia's! Their food is excellent, never been disappointed, the help is always friendly & makes customers feel wanted & appreciated & it's a great restaurant close to home! We highly recommend this restaurant! It's a 5 star for certain!
I felt the food was good and the service was up to par, although at times the young server was a little too friendly (casual) but did a good job. Our cocktails, 2 of which were off the menu, were very sweet and I'm not sure there was any alcohol in them. We each ordered another, I ordered a Hurricane and she got a vodka gimlet.... And again, no alcohol in them. The food would be worth returning for, but skip spending the extra money on drinks.
After a period of time with sub par chefs and mediocre food, Ophelia's seems to have rebounded. I went to the wine tasting they hosted last night and the food pairings were really great, and the service was great too.
Wulllllll, I'm pretty ashamed of myself for this review, but... I do remember they deserve FIVE stars, both for the food and the service! I took a picture of my drink, and then no other pictures until dessert! I tried looking at the online menu, to jog my memory, but that didn't work. Our menu was different! I don't know if that was for EVERYONE in the restaurant that night, or just us because we were a reservation of 20. But not matter what, the food was GREAT, with most of us passing food around the table and sayin', "Here, they THIS!" And then desserts galore. The one server handled the whole table by himself and did an EXCELLENT job. This was definitely worth the time and money!
Came out here with friends on the spur of the moment and so glad we did! My first time at Ophelia's and can't say enough good things! The ambiance and decor is charming. They had live music with a pianist in the background who played nice jazzy tunes and was not too loud so easy to have a conversation. Our waitress Haley was wonderful! Polite and made some great recommendations. I had a Truman Perfect Manhattan to start which was quite delish. We ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts and potted pork as two appetizers for the table. Both were very good. Everyone ordered something different for a main course. I had the pork chop which was cooked a perfect medium. The sauce and veggies that accompanied it made for some absolutely wonderful bites. Prices were pretty reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to go back again!
Best this side of the Missouri! Had a great lunch on Saturday! The Chef made a Special Veggie/hummus sandwich for us which was delightful. Really good fries too. Elegant and reasonable price. We'll be back...
Driving through and spending the night at my sister's and they have been wanting to treat us to dinner out. What a great little place! I'd love to see the rooms. Angel greeted us and was so friendly and cordial! Loved visiting with her. Jayden was our server and again, so pleasant and knowledgeable. Loved all her suggestions! I was intrigued by the Pineapple Coconut Margarita and found it tasty - nice balance of sweetness. Jayden recommended the Brussel Sprouts and they were delicious! Two of us had the Shrimp and Grits and we both loved it! Not too rich and great flavors. My sister had the Cauliflower steak (what??? I'm from TX and our steaks don't come from cauliflower!) but she said it was delicious!! Hubby had the Fried Chicken with Whipped Potatoes and said it was very good. I got a bite of both: moist chicken and fun flavors (maybe lemon) in the potatoes. Yum!! We couldn't decide on dessert so I ordered Crème Brûlée, SIL got Chocolate Cake and sis got the Lemon Tart. I was torn between my Choice and the tart so hubby got the tart on my behalf. Jayden was listening and knew he really wanted the Chocolate Cake so brought him a slice of that too! Fun night! Great food! Excellent service! And wonderful company!
